Q: How often do the shuttle buses run for?
A. There is no timetable. The buses will shuttle continuously between the Park & Ride site and the competition venue for three hours before the scheduled start of the competition event and 60 minutes after it ends.
Q: What can I take onboard the shuttle?
A. Please refer to the Spectator Hub for details of what spectators are permitted to bring with them into the venue.
Q: How do I recover property lost on the shuttle bus?
A. To recover lost property, please contact us on birmingham2022@epdataservices.com.
Q: How do I identify the shuttle bus pick-up and drop-off points at the venues?
A. There are designated drop off and pick up points for the Park & Ride shuttle bus at each venue. All shuttle bus loading locations will be clearly signed.
On exiting the venue competition, follow the wayfinding signage to the pick-up point where you will board the shuttle to return to the parking site.
Q: Is there a minimum age that children may travel on the bus shuttle service unaccompanied by an adult?
A. Children travelling on the shuttle bus must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 18 years old. Children under the age of 18 cannot travel on the shuttle bus unaccompanied.
Q: How long will it take to get to my seat in the venue once I’ve boarded the shuttle bus?
A. Please use the Games Journey Planner to plan your journey and calculate the time it will take to travel to the venue.
Q: What if my competition session over-runs on the day, will the shuttle service to the car park still be available?
A. Park & rides will be operational at different times according to the competition schedule; therefore they will differ for every venue. Please check the timetable prior to leaving to ensure that you do not miss the last shuttle bus.
Q: If the competition over-runs, my car parking ticket will expire before my return. Will I have to leave the competition before it finishes to exit the car park before the exit time stated on my ticket?
A. Park & rides will be operational at different times according to the competition schedule. Due to this there will be time limits for people using park & rides, who will need to return to their vehicle.
To ensure that there is enough parking capacity for all ticket holders for all competition sessions you are required to catch a return shuttle bus within 60 minutes of the end of your competition session. Vehicles left after this time (plus Games Shuttle travel time) regrettably will be towed at the owner’s expense.
Q: Is there a car parking shuttle bus service operating at every competition venue?
A. No, the Mountain Bike Competition at Cannock Chase, Warwick Road Race and Victoria Park Lawn Bowls are all accessed on foot. There is no shuttle bus service from the car parks for these venues.
